Congratulations Elizabeth! I think your therapist is right. Weed may not be as bad but it's still dangerous for an addict and can lead back to drinking. A few years ago I couldn't even wrap my mind around the notion of never drinking again. In the back of my mind I wondered if maybe I could replace drinking with some kind of drugs!
But now I've been sober long enough to see it as a gift. It's amazing to be in my right mind all the time.
I'm so glad to see things are going so well for you. You deserve it!
