The last time I was at a jam night I ended up outside passed out on a convenient couch - I was that smashed I didn't even get to get my bass out, let alone play a note...
Tonight I played - the room was full, the beer was free and flowing...and it didn't bother me in the slightest
I think I have to get the band back together tho...

sound like a good plan to me dee
its amazing what we can do sober in life, go for it and the fact there is booze around shouldn't make the slightest bit of difference so long as your motives for being there are good ones
i used to play snooker a lot so it meant always being around booze it never bothered me i was happy with a glass of coke and playing snooker for hours and hours
then go home sober with a clear head and wake up the next day with a clear head : )
