Oh, yeah. That's one reason I used to drink.

Day 8. Today I left work with a pretty huge desire to get wine bombed. One of my clients (I work at a community mental health center)) was found dead in her apartment - her death wasn't discovered for several days. She had a lot of medical problems, moved here from another state several months ago, and had no one really. I don't think it was a suicide attempt because she always said she was "too chicken" but I won't know until I talk to the coroner. It doesn't matter.

Came home, changed into my ratty old bathrobe (I love that bathrobe) and decided to tune into SR. I'm okay and the urge to drink has passed. I am still sad and it's okay

I'm truly sorry to hear about your loss, Inchworm. I know that if it were me, alcohol would only amplify my sorrow. I'm glad you chose to come here instead. My thoughts are with you.

Sorry for your loss, what a sad state of affairs. Good for you not drinking and giving this person a respectful tribute by your effort.

I'm sorry to hear that. And I just posted about how I've been "having it rough" for a couple of weeks. Puts things in perspective for sure.

Good work coming here to post. And I'm sitting in my ratty old "I wear this at home when no one's looking and I don't care, you can't stop me" favorite pj's as well.

Sad to hear of your loss. Not drinking over it is really awesome.
