Back to Basics sober Weekender Thread Aug 1-3
Love the tune Trach!
I listened twice so I could get it in my head for a continuous loop while I walk the dog. That song reminded me a bit of Harry Nilsson. I am going to put his stuff at the top of my pod.
If you haven't seen the film 'Who is Harry Nilsson, And Why is Everyone Talking About Him?', I highly, highly recommend it.
Morning Weekenders!
Happy Friday!

Good morning! I'm up. Waking up before the day officially begins. I never had feathered hair. Mine would just never cooperate. I always thought it was strange that the girls with very pretty naturally curly hair would straighten their hair and then used curling irons to feather it. I always wanted curly hair.
Gilmer, I don't remember that episode of In Living Color but I did like the show. Hammer pants! Hah. The things we all wore. Although I never wore Hammer pants. I had a pair of many pocketed army pants from a surplus store that I wore. I'm hoping that the current affinity for wearing pants below the butt with underpants showing ends but that has been going on for so long here it can't even be described as a trend.
LTV I hope your magical weather holds out. It is overcast here today and cool. I'm hoping for rain because we sorely need it. I've had to actually water the garden.
Spent too much time on the ikea kitchen 3d designer last night. I'm sorry if you all get bored with this kitchen thing I'm going through but it is seriously stressful to me. Ooh. I just heard the roll of thunder. I have to make sure my umbrella is in my bag.
Time to check my online readings. I've been doing those in the morning and they have been helping with my morning depression. Talk to you all later. Happy Friday!
Rabid fox. That is scary.

Harry Who? Nillson? You mean the "Son of Dracula"?
Yes.
I don't know how to add you tube tracks to this. Could you please add some from 'the Point' throughout the weekend? That is one of my very favorite movies.

I fell MADLY, PASSIONATELY in love with him the second I heard Without You in 7th grade! If ever anybody deserved a Grammy for Best Male Vocal Performance, it was him! I was so sorry that he died at age 51. I was on my way in to buy cigars when I heard the news on my car radio.

Sober Weekend
I decided it was time to quit and admit my problem with alcohol on 7/31/2014,this is the first weekend I am facing. I was drinking daily so weekends, weekdays there was not much difference. But Friday does typically mean party so I want to spend this one sober.

I' here and in for another sober weekend. Going out of town next week, but it'll be fine. Looking forward to changing the sight lines. Last time I went out of town, I got so drunk on the last night that i could hardly drive home the next day. Not gonna happen this time!
Have a good clean weekend, everyone.
Onward!

This will be my 3rd weekend sober. I'm looking forward to it. It's nice to not be fogged in and sweaty while trying to do something. Or anything.
