What's going on? Can we help make that dark place a little lighter?

I have nothing Dee. I never leave the house, I speak to no one. I'm in constant pain. I fear walking at of the house. I just want to give up in all seriousness.

You've been my buddy for nearly a year and I really do care about you. I hear in you you're frozen, I hear self defeatist. I know pain is a very real part of your everyday life, so I'm not discounting that, but you've got to get up and out and fight like hell to get out of that dark place.
I wish I could tell you wanting it was enough, but it's not! I recall an August last summer who had months of sobriety and dare I say he was chipper and witty. You had your night job, you had purpose and schedule. What about a some scheduled regimented outside the house time. Volunteer at nursing home trust me there are some funny cats there that'll make you laugh. Or NA AA meeting even if not for the program at the very least the comradery!

You have to jump in order to fly!

And you know you've always got me should you need to vent.

I really do empathise Dennis - that was me at the end of my drinking.

If you think you're growing depressed or agoraphobic then you really need help with that in a professional Dr type sense

If you're not, then there's nothing for it D - you need to leave the house and start connecting with people.

I know about pain (and fear and depression), but if you let those things rule your life, you're lost - and you don't deserve that.

Even a few hours a week volunteering somewhere could help your head space.

The people I worked with were very understanding and accommodating about my pain issues.

I've been borderline agoraphobic my whole life. I can't be around people, I hyperventilate, puke, and feel like I'm gonna pass out. The pain adds to the anxiety. I walk across the street sometimes 25 feet from the house to the doggie park. I can't even apply for health here cause I'm petrified. Ehhh I'll deal somehow. Thanx Dee ..
