The people processing the applications would have to have noticed as they did it, and pointed it out to a supervisor. That's probably giving them a LOT of credit.

Just take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Supplying false information to whatever company to get the five dollars you would receive only by turning in truthfully completed applications for is theft by deception.

If you are worried about it I would find out what the statute of limitations is in Maryland. Worrying about it won't change anything. Learn from it and move on. If this was five years ago the statute has probably run and they couldn't bring charges. Drinking over this isn't worth it.

It would cost a lot of money for them to open a case and then it's the credit card company with the deep pockets picking on a lady who made $5 per turned in application. This would just p*ss a judge off and be thrown out. If it were pursued it would make the news and give the big rich credit card company bad publicity, not worth it for them. If anything, you gave them publicity by spreading their name. No, nothing they would bother with even if they could.

I know, when you quit drinking it somehow dredges up all this past stuff. It's weird.

Anyhow, the Statute of Limitations on Fraud in the State of Maryland is 3 years...now go have an ice tea!
