Live the Life You Have Imagined
Is the inscription on a ring I bought myself, and put on my finger this morning, to celebrate thirty days. If you're just starting your sober journey...keep going, it gets better. If you fall, pick yourself back up and try again...that may be the time you finally are able to stay sober. The anxiety goes away, the peace comes eventually, and you can be so much happier with yourself and your life. This time was different because there were no more secrets, I finally told my family and my best friend, and I felt like a huge weight was lifted. All days aren't unicorns and rainbows, but I promise you they will be better than any hungover day you have ever had. And thank you to everyone here, your stories and encouragement are a wonderful tool I use often in my sobriety.
