2 months sober tomorrow :))

Feels like a lot longer! Not because I've craved it a lot as I really haven't. I have changed anything that puts me in a situation that might tempt me. Still read your guys posts a bunch and that helps. Thanks all for the help there!

Congrats on 2 months, that's fantastic! Don't be a stranger, someone is always here if you need it.

I feel fantastic trouble! I am at the point where I am wondering wth I saw in that muddy haze. It took awhile to get here though. I expected to feel this way much sooner. I am just now feeling that passion for life that I uses to feel prior my 15 year bender. It's a natural high now and so good. Real. Not created by the bottle only to fade into a stupor followed by a hangover riddled with guilt for disrespecting myself so badly. Ahh...peace of mind. Can't beat it!

Scott...it's interesting how just knowing there is a great group of people out there in cyberland is such a comfort. When I feel a little edgy, just reading about those with similar or even very different journeys makes me feel like I'm part of something really worthwhile. Never alone.

I'm on the same page as you here. It is amazing how one week can feel SO full. When I hit two months I thought to myself that it felt like two years...in a full & good way.

Nice work on two months irma!

keep hold tight of this feel good feeling you have today and put some in the bank for rainy days is what i was told when i was young in sobriety

while things are going good its a great feeling and we can really enjoy being sober, but what happends when something bad in life comes along ? thats the moment we get tested and at that time its important to remember the good times of being sober as they will carry you on so long as you remember them : ) ( thats why we put some of the feel good feeling in the bank )

well done

Excellent advice. I haven't had super tough times to endure lately which while great for the newly sober is sure to change. I suppose being recently laid off and going through divorce does qualify as stressful but for me I think it's that the time was right. My former employer is calling me back into a different nurse position though. It's really a good thing I got a few months off to take that time to work on myself. I'm very fortunate that things fell into place as they did.
