Mir you are an inspiration. For all us addicts and for all us parents. Sharing on here is not only helping you but helping others. It's so easy to get wrapped up in things that will pass in a day or two. Thank you for sharing your life with me. Hugs and love sent to you dear.

It's so true, MIR! Drunk or sober you couldn't have changed the course of the cancer. But sober you could be there for her for all the rest of her days. Even though they were painful times, as time goes by the pain will recede somewhat but the love never will. You were given a great gift in being sober to share her life!

MIR - I am so sorry to hear your daughter has died. I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling. It is so wonderful you were sober to be with her. I really feel for you. You must be an incredibly strong person.
