Day 29

Hi guys,

Today is day 29 for me. I didn't think after my last lapse I had the strength to get back but I did it and I'm stronger than ever.

Going to AA meeting, starting the steps and having counselling has filled me with a mixture of fear, sadness, self realisation, love for myself and best of all hope. I've learned in this short period of sobriety to start loving myself, something I don't think I've ever done.

I'm okay and I'm really going to be.

Although times are hard, we can get through it because we all deserve it. We deserve to live, not with fear but with hope.

Good luck to you all.

L x

Great job Foolsgold!
I didn't think I had the strength either. Doesn't it feel good to surprise ourselves? We share the same sobriety date! Day 29 here too! Keep it up!

It feels amazing. Just knowing I wont drink for today is the nicest feeling.

Once my emotions settle a bit I'm sure the journey will altogether be better.

Wishing you well and well done on day 29!! Woo hoo x
