Bittersweet
I can now honestly say that my worst day sober is better than my best day drunk.
Thank you all for the kind words. My daughter-in law wrote this and it is very nice
On to the Next Journey
This morning, Stacy ended one journey and started the next. She passed peacefully at home with loved ones. While her 28-year life will always seem too short, Stacy will be remembered for the indescribable impact she had upon those who had the honor of knowing her. Stacy was able to maintain her wit, charm, humor (typically sarcastic), and strength until the end of her life. She was a truly compassionate soul who cared deeply for the welfare of those she knew. Stacy’s laughter was infectious, and she could always be counted on for an honest conversation. As all who interacted with her have experienced, Stacy was a one of a kind individual who lived a unique life and made those around her happier.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the outpouring of love and support we have received throughout this journey. It is a testament to Stacy’s life that so many have been willing to provide support and care. Stacy is truly loved!

MIR, I am so sorry. I can't begin to imagine how losing a child might feel. I am thankful that she is no longer suffering and that you were able to give her 5 beautiful, sober years of yourself. God bless you and your family.
