Congrats on one year. Im still at 20 days. I understand what youre feeling. My wife doesnt get it either. She still says "just have a couple". We all know thats a death sentence. Look at it this way. Its probably a good thing that she doesnt understand what an accomplishment it is. Or else she would be like us. Anyway great job on 1 year. I know how amazing that feat is. I know how proud of you i am, and i dont even know you. You give me hope.
One year is fantastic and you should be very proud
Perhaps the one closest to you feels threatened by your sobriety and is scared to acknowledge it? Maybe it is highlighting some of their own shortcomings?
But today should be all about you!

One year. That is very, very impressive. Congratulations. I know it couldn't have been easy. And having less than complete support from the one that is closest to you means that you had/have to work even harder to stay on track.
So, well done. I hope things continue to go well for you. 9

Why not talk about how you feel? What harm can it do?
Feel proud!

One year is amazing! I was amazed I got into the double digits - as in this is my 13th day sober...but 365 days would be amazing. Sorry someone won't give you the congratulations you deserve, your body for sure is very happy.

Congrats, that's an amazing accomplishment! Regardless of whether this person acknowledges it, how many people in today's society can say they went an entire year without imbibing or taking any drug? A very very small percentage, you are blessed with clarity of the mind right now that most others do not have and never will. Keep at it!
Brilliant!!!!!! Im so happy for you. GREAT job You inspire me!
I do understand about your partner....sometimes it is hard for them to understand how difficult it can be and what a triumph it is to have sober time under your belt.

Awesome job on one year! What an accomplishment...
I can relate to the spouse not recognizing your efforts. I made it 9 months sober last year and i relapsed because i listened to my wife and had a drink. That drink turned quickly into daily abuse again and now i am back on day 18.
I learned i have to do this for ME and no one else. The others; wife and kids; will benefit from my sobriety because i'm a much better person sober, but ultimately i'm doing this for myself... I quit trying to explain it to her that it is a battle by the hour sometimes for me.
Great job and stay strong!
