Welcome to SR.

What do you normally do when the cravings hit?

Food! Fill your belly with greasy and sugary food to the point where you can't eat anymore. Go to Pizza Ranch! Stat!

Guaranteed, after you do that, even the thought of having a drink will make you sick.

Awww, Sparky the visualization alone makes me feel ill. Eeeew. Well done.

Headphones with choice music and walking it, walking it, walking it worked really well for me in the early weeks. And of course, staying logged into SR as I made tough transitions like heading into the kitchen to cook dinner, to cooking, to eating, to everything else at night Nights were initially rough and now are easier. Still logged into SR though.

Hey, I like Pizza Ranch! Some Pibb Xtra, four pieces of fried chicken, some breaded potato wedges, 1/2 a pizza, some ice cream, and a coffee to finish. There is no way any human I know could then drink one beer (let alone 6) after that particular gorging.

When I drank hard, it was easy as I skipped meals - beer was the meal. As long as I eat regularly, it helps, and I pig out when the cravings are especially fierce.

Skip Pizza Ranch and go straight for the ice cream. Now.

Ice cream and sweets like cake and cookies really fill the bill for me. I'm probably going to be putting on some weight.

Trach and ice cream......

JD, I'm figuring pretty much whatever I eat, I'm not coming close to my weekly caloric beer intake. At least my belt and scale tell me so.

Get out and exercise. The endorphins will help and you'll feel better afterwards. Or bacon. That helps for me

Thanks for the replies. SR helped tonight in a strange way. Wifi kept dropping in and out so spent much time re logging in. By that time cravings had gone. God moves in mysterious ways
