Hello

Well after 3 months of drinking more often than not in an effort to make things seem better I am tired if waking up hungover. It's affecting every part of my life and I'm now 2.5 stone overweight So as of today I refuse to make life any more miserable using alcohol!

That is the best decision you could ever make. I'm working on day 8 of sobriety today. I feel good! So will you.

Hello and welcome. You'll find a lot of support here.
I, too, got tired of the hangovers. The alcoholic' hangover is not to be confused with the moderate drinkers hangover.
The day after I was filled with unbearable anxiety, regret and remorse. I felt like I was coming out of my skin. Sweating, nauseous and beat up.
It's been thee and a half years sober for me and I keep those memories fresh in my mind. It's worked. That and reading posts like yours, that let me know what it's still like 'out there'.
Remember how you feel now and realize you never have to feel that way again.
Even the heaviest drinker (and I was one) can recover.
Best to you and stick around.
