I've been sober just over 2 months now. The last time that happened was 14 years ago and that time I was sober for 8 months. Other than that I don't ever remember going more than a few days without a drink. I recently went to the doctor for pain and swelling in my feet, and they naturally took my blood pressure. Amazingly, it is normal for the first time in months! Even on blood pressure medication it has been high. While I was there I convinced the NP to order some blood tests to check out my liver. Anxiously awaiting the results of those, as the antabuse I'm taking keeps me sober but may be hard on the liver. Kind of a catch-22. Anyway, I've been able to cut down the antabuse from every day to about 3 times a week, so that should help also.
