Day 8 and Mood Swing Mama
I am fine today but yesterday I was awful! I've had 2 horrible mood swings since I quit. One last Monday and one yesterday. Fortunately, my 2 older kids are at camp but my 4 yr-old is such a trigger.
She was stressing me so much yesterday, and in the past I just drank.
Right now, my husband is getting her ready and she is fussing and being bossy.
So yesterday, I sent her to her room. I told her she couldn't leave until I told her she could come out.
She wasn't in there for 4 minutes as the experts all say (1 minute per years of age), more like 30 minutes. She has toys and I gave her something to drink and cheddar bunnies but then I laid on a chair in the back patio and chilled. It's back patio, kitchen, hall, her room if anyone is wondering how far I was from her, I could hear her if she needed me.
But I'm used to being drunk mom. I get stressed from kids, I drink, everything is nice again (rinse, repeat).
I sat in the chair and stared at the sky and thought how nice a drink would be right now. Just being honest.

Great job on Day 8!!
It can be tough adapting to dealing with life without alcohol, that's the hardest learning curve I found, but it can be done, non drinkers can do it and so it is possible!!
Hang in there, you can do this!!
