Day 2 - Still feeling physically sick

Went to my doctor just to be sure I was okay and she told me I had pretty bad acid reflux most likely from the drinking. Has anyone else ever had that happen when detoxing? It's really uncomfortable. Luckily we had a good talk and adjusted my anxiety meds so hopefully I will be able to relax tonight and tomorrow have a better day.

Yeap I had that when I quit, it cleared up eventually, the body just needed time to heal!!

Great job on Day 2!! keep it going!! :)

Yep! I felt sick for the first three days then it started to subside but my biggest issues were anxiety and sweating. It will get better. Just hang in there

Thanks everyone! I wasn't sure if that was normal - it was the first time I have ever really had that. It might have been because of the wine - I don't normally drink that.
It makes me feel better to have other people have gone through the same thing.

It's anxiety, sweating (at night), mood swings for me...on Day 3

If it's possible, try juicing, I think that is working for me...or just buy the fresh squeezed juice at the supermarket

I didn't realize how much I was drinking...but now my body is like "where's the booze?"

but I'm sure my liver is thanking me...

I am on day 8, and the first few days were really rough. I had bad heartburn/acid reflux, anxiety, irregular heartbeat, nausea, all kinds of fun digestive issues, and at night I would just sweat buckets. It sounds like you have talked about this with your doctor, which is good. Stick with it, you will start to feel better.

Thank you everyone!!!

YOU are doing great! Keep it up!

Your stomach should settle within a week or so. If not, hop back at the doctor. But not drinking gives your body a fighting chance

I had that too and worse.

Hope you start to feel better soon HealthyK :)

Yeah.... lasted for a few days... get some ginger in you, will stop the nausea in seconds... I just chew on crystalized ginger but you can also drink ginger tea..
