Canadian friends!

Been meaning to post this for some time now............but I'm off to Montreal tomorrow AM. Any of you life there, or close by?

Any ideas of where to visit or eat in Montreal or in Quebec City? Will only be there for a long weekend.

Tom

Montreal has changed a lot since I left, and I haven't returned much. But Quebec City... Stay within the walls of the Old City, and you can't get a bad meal Tom. I promise. Day trips from Quebec City abound.
***L'Ile d'Orleans***
***Les Chutes Montmorency***
***Le Mont Ste-Anne***

All within an hours drive or less from the heart of Quebec City.

Man, I wish I could join you Tom.
Perhaps 51Anna can cut you in on what's hip in Montreal these days!

Safe travels friend.

Tom,

Montreal is renowned for its restaurants and night life.

Check out Crescent Street for restaurants and St. Catherine Street for shopping - both downtown. Both of these streets are in the downtown area, but generally you won't have to walk more than a few steps to find a restaurant.

You might also check out Old Montreal which is where the old port of Mont Royal was established. It has cobblestone streets, great restaurants and lots of shops. It's within walking distance of downtown.

The Just for Laughs festival is on beginning July 15 for 10 days. I know there are lots of outdoor shows and you can check out www.hahaha.com.

Hope you have a great time.

Love, Anna

One day Chyness, I promise I'll tell you about the Canadian Calendar. The one you use is a simplified version for our american friends. That's also why a canadian came up with time zones and daylight savings time:lmao

Montreal & Quebec City were beautiful. Stayed at a friends house in Saint Anne de Lacs, on the lake, in the country, wow..............L.A. kinda sucks.
