Feeling optimistic

Although physically I don't feel that great, I forced myself to get up and out of the house for a while. I went and joined a gym, got some lunch and did a little shopping. Then when I got home I took my dog on a decent walk (even with this horrible heat lol). I still don't feel good, but I took someone's advice and bought some ice cream. I'm gonna a give that a try shortly. Haha!

So tomorrow I will start going to the gym and trying to eat healthier. One day at a time.

A friend of mine in recovery who has about 15 years clean as far as I can recall once said to me that when he got clean he had to learn the basics all over again. How to eat right. How to keep good personal hygeine. How to socialise. We have to learn the basics sober.....and ice cream helps. The physical stuff goes in time. Get your mind right and it will follow.

I need some optimism, I've had a terrible day. I'll try to feed off yours Sinderos. Maybe I should go get some ice cream, since it seems to work so well. Probably won't though, not really up to it.
