I haven't used in 4 weeks but I'm just starting to feel a little better. It's so hard learning how to really live as a functioning person but I'm doing it. I've made some friends in AA and being around them makes me feel like I finally belong somewhere. I also found that meditating in the mornings helps me put my day in perspective and slow my mind down. My emotions and thoughts are all over the place but I'm becoming more ok with bad feelings. I know I don't have to use, even if I want to. Last night before I fell asleep I just lyed there smiling like an idiot because I felt so free lol. I don't really know where I'm going with this but yeah.

I felt I belonged when I found AA, too. All sorts of feelings will come and go, but remember they're just thoughts. Remember how you felt while you were using. My worst day sober is better than my best day drunk. What a nightmare I was living.
You never have to go back. You're a miracle in the making. You're doing fine, keep it up!
