replacing alcoholic beverages

Hello Everyone,

Drinking has been such a BIG part of my professional and personal being that I have a habit of always having something in my hand. I am looking of alternatives to alcoholic beverages i.e. drinks, twirl a pencil, etc - preferably healthy alternatives. Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum!!

For me I dink loads of green/white teas, though if I'm out at a social event cranberry, soda water and lime is my drink of choice, there's also loads of non alcoholic cocktails made with fruit juices that are tasty too!! :)

La croix sparkling water is great. Tasty and no calories.

I had a fling with fancy soda pop for a while. I would order unusual soda online. It's too much sugar though.

You could develop a vegetable juice obsession. If you drink the juice of dandelion leaves it gives you a headache at first (usually) then stops as you get more used to the nutrients. Maybe it's an embarrassing male trait, but there was a kind of thrill for me to drinking stuff that is highly nutritious but a shock to the system at first.

Or, practice baton twirling and carry one wherever you go. No, actually, don't do that.

I drink A LOT of seltzer water these days.. You can mix some juice with it, or just squeeze a lime into it if you don't mind the sour. I think the carbonation does something to ease my cravings. Tea (herbal) before bed is good, too. Ginger tea has a nice kick.

Seltzer water with fruit juice and lime! My favorite. The La Croix drinks are good, love the coconut one... smells like Coppertone tanning lotion but in an appealing way. Herbal teas, coffee.

Thank you very much everybody. I am really grateful for the responses.

I really liked "carry a baton everywhere" comment because I needed that yesterday. Every time a colleague/friend tells me "come on man, one shot, have a shot, come on", I can beat them with a baton.
