Great job not letting yourself go ahead and get drunk, because you had a drink. For sure not a relapse. It showed your true strength in just walking away from drinking and coming here. You did great.

WTF??? I'm sorry bout I am absolutely incensed that your co-worker did this. As Anna (sorry was it Anna?) notes..this would be a crime if someone through nuts in a drink of a person with a peanut allergy.
That's just sick. You told him/her the night before you were done with booze...
And they throw LOADS of whiskey and bailey's in your shake?
That's diabolical. It's not funny or cute.

That person is a wierdo.
Sorry...I'm newly sober.
I have issues with emotional regulation.

you did not relapse or slip whatever it's called. you were given a cocktail containing a mind altering substance without your knowledge - you were tricked - which is against the law.

You were the victim of a crime make no mistake about it.

I would privately speak to his supervisor about this. That was a stupid, irresponsible and potentially lethal act on his part.

Not a relapse, just an accident. I'd consider that akin to somebody giving up smoking accidentally inhaling fumes from a passing smoker. Don't worry about it.

Absolutely agree, what he did was despicable and he should face disciplinary action.

What a jerk! If he didn't know you quit drinking, its still sh***y behaviour in my opinion as who knows what kind of reactions people might have to alcohol. But the fact that you did already mention it to him...blech. Just crappy.

I agree, you're not back to square 1. In fact, its great you didn't just say "screw it" and used it as an excuse to have another. Good work!
