Back on track

For those of you who have been following my fiance and my posts, thank you for showing your support and getting us motivated. To follow her progress, her username is Lucidity9, and she is now an active member of this site. We have made our calendar, and if all goes according to plan then our sober date will be July 15th. Safely weening us down to nothing Today we also connected with one of my old friends and his girlfriend, introduced my fiance, and are now planning to get through this together as we share the same struggle. Again, thank you to everyone for being so great, without your immediate and legitimate support I'm not sure that we would be on the road to recovery as we are now. Will keep you all posted

According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, July 15 is the best day to "quit smoking" or "wean animals." Good luck!

Best of luck to both of you! I like your plan to do this as a team. That was also one of my wishes several years ago in a relationship with another alcoholic. In my case, it remained a wish back then because none of us were ready and committed enough. You two sound like you are, and at the same time - and that young - awesome, go for it and do whatever it takes to succeed!!

Best wishes and keep posting

My husband is supportive and has cut his drinking way back but will not give it up completely. I wish you both the best. It will have a solidifying effect on your relationship.
