Made it home

I had my last drink on Friday and I got home without stopping at the supermarket. Mainly because of the great replies I got from my first post. Thank you all for the support

Good job. I remember those early days of sobriety being afraid to walk by a liquor store, so job well done. No misery tomorrow.

Thanks again. I had a very early night woke up at 5am feeling great! The craving wasn't there either I actually started thinking about what exercise I'm going to do! It's a brilliant feeling.

You only crave when you drink, otherwise its an obsession. You over came your obsession to drink, which an obsession is just a thought or idea that over-rides all other ideas or thoughts to the contrary. Keeping busy does this and distraction, many programs are based on this, I believe SMART Recovery is based on this concept, and perhaps Addictive Voice Recovery concept too.
