Unhappy at a complete loss

first time user, my husband drinks all the time,what do i do?

Hi Helen,

Welcome to SR.

There is little you can do at the moment, unless your husband wants to stop drinking. The best you can do is to try to take care of yourself. You also might check out the AlAnon forum on this board which is a place for families and friends to find support. Keep posting.

As Anna said,he needs to be the one to want to stop.
But there is support for you also!
Living with an alcoholic is hard...just ask my hubby.Nothing worked,until I
wanted to stop.

Please visit the Al-Anon forum. Many there in your shoes, you will find a great deal of support there. I'm glad you found us, so you can learn to take care of yourself.
