hi, I wrote a post about 5 days ago about being in liver failure. I have stayed sober as of a week today.
My question is a bit gross but I need to ask..I've been having horrible diarrhea 24/7 so bad that even if I cough or sneeze I have an accident. It is uncontrollable. I am drinking water and gatorade to keep from getting dehydrated. Is this my body's way of cleaning out years of alcoholism? Or is it the liver failure? I'm not eating much because it makes it worse.
I do go back to my doctor tomorrow but was hoping maybe someone else had or has this problem and hopefully it's not my liver..I'm doing so well staying sober..but I can't leave my house because of this and am afraid I'm going to have an accident at the doctor's office. Any suggestions on how to get it to stop?

Call your doctor's office and ask this question. I'm sure they will have heard it before and we can't answer medical questions. according to the site's rules.

It's an impossible question for us to answer. Only your Dr can tell you why it's happening.
