"Get a load of me (?). I'm giving out wings."
I used to say this all the time when alarms went off - some guys didn't get it.

Out of work and into my weekend! Loving this thread!

I was driving home thinking about a bunch of things I could do this weekend. It took a second to realize I don't have those butterflies in my belly. No fast heart beats.

By now I used to have my drugs all lined up.

A few years ago on July 4th I was high on crack hanging with two complete strangers in my kitchen. The guys I just bought off of. That was the beginning of a long crack spree. I did over $1000 that weekend and became "friends" with one of the two.

I remember distinctly the sounds of the fireworks going off but feeling nothing. That moment will stay with me forever.

Now today? Oh my gosh.... I want to get on my knees and be so thankful. Escaping crack at is not easy. Nothing is but thats only my POV. Had to share.

Back to the movies!

I also love movie soundtracks. I have the cd for The Jazz Singer... Out of Africa... And go ahead and make fun of me.... Sister Act.

Boy am I weird!

K

Jules Winnfield: There's a passage that I got memorized, seems appropiate for this situation: Ezekiel 25,17. "The path of the righteous man is beset of all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil me. Blessed is he who, in the name of the charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

THE BEST FILM EVER!!!!....I'm in for the weekend :-)

I think my two all time favorite movies are the Godfather and Splash but honestly the Adam sandler movie That's my Boy is so funny to me. I watch it every time it comes on tv. Don't judge me.

Great use of music in a movie: the intro to "Back in the Saddle" by Aerosmith in Red.

Oh, and by the way, Olive--I should be picking up another postcard for you from a more off-the-wall locale this Friday.

I'm in sober weekenders!

Ok here's probably the easiest quote you'll see on this thread "yo Adrian"
My favorite movie and it won the Oscar for best picture in 1976.

Good to see ya Oldself... Have you ever had the chance to run up the stairs at Philadelphia Museum of Art? I loved going to Philly in my 20's.

I'm not very good with movie quotes, but I'm in for the weekend!

But first, I have to interrupt this thread for a picture from my trip last weekend.....

This little hamlet was a few miles from my sister's house in upstate NY! The first couple times I passed it, I thought it said "Beacon Hill" but my kids pointed out that it was Bacon Hill. I had to get a picture for you bacon lovers!

"Igor, would you give me a hand with the bags?"
"Certainly. You take the blonde and I'll take the one in the turbine."
