Has anyone read this book by Jason Vale? It was suggested to me from someone on SR. I like some of the philosophy but only halfway through the book and it's seems anti AA which I really don't know about either.

I'm totally new to sobriety so any thoughts on this book would be of interest to me. Also, can someone tell me what VA stands for? I see it referenced often on this site. Thanks in advance!

No I haven't read that one. I have read Alan Carr's book (Easy Way to Quit Drinking). I wouldn't call Carr's book anti-AA but he is certainly offering a different perspective, as does SMART or AVRT I believe.

Sorry..I'm not really answering your direct question though am I. I welcome all recovery perspective. I take what I need and leave the rest so to speak : )

You might mean AV which stands for addictive voice, sometimes also called the beast.
