And How Are You Today?

My boyfriend works away at sea and usually we can keep in touch relatively well through the Internet - WhatsApp, Skype, emails and so forth... Today, however, he has no signal and without contact I feel very alone. I thought rather than sink into a hole I'd see how everyone on SR is feeling today.

So... How are you?

I'm doing well, thanks! I'm busy looking after two little grandchildren today and am having lots of fun. It's super hot and humid here in Eastern Canada today.

I hope you can keep in touch with your boyfriend soon. I was a military wife for more than 20 years and I know how isolating it can be.

Doing well here too Prynne. I was camping for a week and disconnected from SR for a while which is my main support mechanism, hope you can hang out with us today for a little extra support.

Oh that sounds like a lovely day! Children bring a lovely, innocent atmosphere with them. My dog is the nearest I have but he certainly brings me much joy. I'm glad you're doing well Anna! And you're right, it can be very isolating, but I'm happy to be a part of this community now. It certainly provides people to talk to!

I love camping - I hope you enjoyed your time away! Sometimes breaks away are the best thing for us all. Nice that you're back though!

Doing great too Prynne, weather here in Scotland is stunning today, played golf, walked my dog and worked in the backyard.
Life is good, stick with us today, we can help pass some time.
Take care.

Wow purpleknight I am doing the exact same thing! A big hulk mug of green tea! My favourite drink now.

Oh Scotland is so beautiful. My father was a big fan and I can't argue with him. I'm glad you've enjoyed your day.

Hi Prynne

Thank's for asking! I'm feeling better today since a horrid summer cold began a few days ago. Lost the bulk of my sunny weekend to recovering in bed. BOO! This week is supposed to be a sunny, humid one. So plenty of time to make up lounging with my ghouls at the pool.

And how are you?

My daughter just ran outside naked and began urinating in plain view on the front porch. Must run and remind her that she is not an animal. Or is she? How confusing.

I've been resting. I injured my foot jogging last week and am the Queen of Hobblers today! Enjoying the football but looking forward to tomorrow and the return of the magical Messi!

I'm doing good too. I've just completed day one and although I was prescribed meds I'm still proud of starting recovery. I'm grateful for a beautiful sunny day and that I have found a group of people in my phone that are just like me.

Nice thread!

Today I took a 'me' day - which was to take care of a bunch of personal errands that had piled up over a few weeks, before heading to an evening lecture on stress.

Odd yes to celebrate errands, but I have been wanting to get them done for some time.

Got a lovely phonecall from my boyfriend so I'm now settling down feeling very content with an irn bru, cauliflower cheese, and the football on BBC!

Elated and miserable.

My new program is working and grass pollen is driving my sinuses crazy.
