I've known for a few hours and this still isn't real. I should not be dealing with this now. There's too much going on already

Congrats! I personally think children are such a blessing! And, timing is never right for having a baby ; ) Take it from me, I have 6 kids...it'll all workout and be okay, just breath!

I just never wanted another. I'm only just in to recovery, dealing with a domestic incident and now this. It seems too much. I've been thinking it over for hours and I just can't imagine having another

I agree needinghelp...BREATHE.... Who can you talk to face to face about this? Your partner, your doctor, your clergy? I'm sure you're in shock. Let that news settle a bit. Try to stay calm. Feel free to PM any of us if you need to.. We're here for you.

busy guy! jeepers.

needinghelp - it's still too fresh to process on top of everything else you have going on. Just breathe.
It's overwhelming right now b/c it was probably the LAST thing you expected. Give it some time to absorb.

Thank you. I'm not sure at the moment who I can speak to but will look into it tomorrow. Hubby knows, he is ok about it. This was just unexpected by the most amount! They asked me if I could be pregnant when they took my blood and I said unlikely. Apparently I was wrong.

You have a lot of people here at SR that are thinking good thoughts for you, Needinghelp82. Take a day or so to let the news sink in and you can look at your options then. Until then, keep your sobriety your number one priority and try to be good to yourself.

Oh my...oh my...oh heaven's oh my...
I know what my first instinct was...but it is not my second.
I too think you should discuss this with someone you trust...physician, counsellor or clergy if you have one...explaining all aspects of your situation.
In the end, trust what is in your heart.

I have removed a couple of posts that are inappropriate. This is a serious situation and the O/P is struggling.

Wow when it rains it just pours! Sending (((hugs))) to you. Not much to say that hasn't been said ... wait a few days til the dust settles a bit. But you've shown what you're made of needinghelp ... hang in there and know that you have our support.
