And you're also my sobriety twin! Except I gave up drinking on 27 Jan 2013, so I am at 17 months today! 27 Jan is obviously a great date to quit!
I fractured my 2nd metatarsal and they decided to just put it in a cast and not operate. Its fine now but my toes a bit bent, but it will heal :-) sorry to hear what happened, for me personally I'm not giving advice because it's none of my business. But I really hope you get what you want and deserve.

I don't know anything about anxiety so I may show my ignorance. Is it similar to depression i.e. med recovery or therapy lead? Either way, I hope you get it sorted.

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the community and congrats on Your sober time. It's really impressive and keep up the good work. I'm from Poland but I will be moving to England soon. I will reside in Durham, which is near by Newcastle. Hope to hear more from You.

Thank you, yes it has been a trying but fruitful time. I feel better, look younger and I am finally seeing some much needed enthusiasm for life return. I have a long history of drink and drug abuse so this is my first time sober since I was 13. I still get urges but equally I can go days without realising I haven't given it a thought. A few months ago I would have said that was impossible.
Thanks again for the welcome, I'm looking forward to getting to know others and their stories
Mark
