Day 24-Checking In
Day 24-Checking In
Hello All,
I am finishing up day 24, looking forward to 25! I have been attending meetings locally and working through all of the emotional crap that comes with getting sober again. One fellow at a one of the meetings reminded me what SOBER stands for:
Son Of a B**** Everything's Real.
I had to chuckle, that is where I'm at now. I'm dealing with life on life's terms and even though it seems I am being tested every 10 minutes sometimes, it feels so good sober! Thank You all for your support.

Way to go BlueSkiesAhead! We share the same sobriety date, and I know what you mean about it sometimes feeling like you're being tested every ten minutes. What I really like about being sober and being tested is knowing that I can fully face and resolve a problem, not hide from it and have it waiting for me later.
Good Morning,
Day 25 is off to a great start. Beautiful sunrise, no rain, and that crazy wonderful sober feeling. I am celebrating the day, and very grateful today. Lot's to do, but I feel pretty empowered. I have mentioned before that I have a lot of things going on in my life, my father is dying, just ended a 5 year relationship that was getting very unhealthy for me, and several other big issues. Facing these sober is very powerful. The support here on SR helps. I have gone 10 years sober, and I feel like I have finally made that commitment again! Blessings to you all!
