Called my GP re:what happened
You are one strong, brave lady. It takes a lot of courage to do what you have done. I can't imagine the emotional angst that you are handling right now--please know that I'm thinking of and praying for you and your sweet daughter.

You are doing excellent and it was very brave to reach out and be honest despite your fears >which btw did not materialize<.

I've got an appointment tonight with my GP. I'm going to ask for a mental health referral and also some advice about the incident on Sunday. Scared doesn't even cover it!
Try to stay in the moment today and not project. There is no need tormenting yourself about things which have not happened and very probably will not happen.
What you are doing is taking a very positive step not only for your foot and your dv situation but also for your recovery.
Quitting drinking is the tip of the iceberg then once we put down the bottle, we often realize that we have underlying issues which need to be addressed (mine was codependency) and also things in our life that we did not consciously notice while we were drinking (some even drank to be reinforce that denial).
There was a good post on fear and worrying in the F&F forum but can not find it I will post I do.
Hugs from across the great pond
