Started the ride

Hi everybody It's hard to admit the addiction in my head space but I need to do something. I have been taking panadeine forte for about 9 months just lately I have been up to 18 a day. Using it to mask depression but last night I lost it at my family and ended up uncontrollably crying I knew I needed to quite due to great pain in kidneys and ever increasing mental downward spiral with lots of sleeping.
Today I have had none and I don't know what to do I have felt emotionally wrecked am getting hot flushes can only dry reach and have diarrhoea.

I want to take some tabs to stop feeling like this but I guess the best thing to do is hang on for the ride

Ralph

Welcome to SR.

I would highly recommend seeing a doctor for help with your detox. Guessing what to do next could have very serious health effects.

Congratulations on your decision to get clean - JUST BE SAFE! We want you around for a long time!

Hi Ralph

I agree with Nons - if you have any worries let the Drs check you out.

You're making a great decision to stop tho - welcome aboard!

Welcome to the Forum Ralph!!

The nature of addicition, is the body withdraws, we feel awful and then in an attempt to feel better we keep using, but where is that going to lead? you need to break the cycle.

Though doing it safely as Non mentioned is the best way forward!!

Great to have you onboard, you'll find loads of support here!!
