So how are you planning to use that line of thinking to help others? . . . it's not very encouraging to tell the recently relapsed, or the person who's hit rock bottom, or the family being torn apart from alcohol . . . you're weak . . . some people need real encouragement and support to change their lives . . . we all need some support now and again!!

How? However it helps the person best. I can't tell you unless I have someone specific to help.

I was going to quote your introductory post, but thought it might be inflammatory and so left it alone. You are posting here for a reason, so what might that reason be? How can we help you hj?

I think what you're calling negativity I call experience.

I've thought all I needed to do was to change my mindset - it worked for a while but not long term.

Maybe the outcome will be different for you, but I feel a duty to share my experience for the other newcomers reading.

Moving on from addiction is not as simple as dropping a pencil

I've passed your account closure request on hj003.

As a result this thread is closed.
