The afternoon of day 6....getting there

Well much like day 5, I got up, managed a good breakfast and went to the gym. Still a bit 'back and forward' with thoughts/short term memory - but again I guess that's to be expected

Got a big day in work tomorrow where all of the Director's will be present, so that's been playing on my mind a bit but my AA sponsor just gave some advice along the lines of, you can only ever do your best, just go and do tat and what will be will be!

I keep trying to run the show, but that can't be done.

Feeling physically in pretty good shape though.....just need to keep powering through!

God bless

Love what your sponsor said.

Yeah I'm lucky to have him as a sponsor, 27 years sober, knows recovery like nobody else I've met and also has a hell of a lot of passion for working with people like me

Sounds like you're doing really well, GlasgowLad And this time tomorrow, your stressful workday will be coming to a close and you'll be on day 7!

Great job on Day 6!! . . . I was similar, wanted everything sorted out immediately, but the body has it's own time frame, I used to think about things like hair and nails growing, they all take time, gradually we don't notice them and then all of a sudden they need trimmed!!

The body will do it's thing and you will look back at some stage and realise you got there!!
