1 Year sober. A milestone achieved.
Hi folks. It's 365 days today and it keeps getting better.
As many have said before, getting here has been a lot of work but it is worth it.
The support and existence of SR has been a great thing to have during sobriety as well as patience and the knowledge of PAWS, which I've had.
To anyone starting out on their journey, I'd say study the PAWS-phenomenon. I think that it is the one key element that reinforced my sobriety and made me understand that everyone goes through this same thing and that it doesn't last forever, since there is a science behind it. So that piece of information helped me maybe the most.
Anyway on to the second year. There was a chain for 1 year and over members? I'll look it up but if someone could point it out here it would be easiest to find. Thanks and good luck.

Wow, congratulations! That is really wonderful. As someone new to sobriety I am encouraged and inspired by you. Thanks.
Thank you for mentioning PAWS. I am already well into the absolute joy of this phenomenon and feel very sad about what I have done to myself.
It just reinforces that I am done with alcohol because I don't think I can go through this again.

I was just talking about that crucial first year in a pm with another member.
I lost my sobriety between 4 and 5 months..
And in this new attempt I have realized how little respect I gave the difficulty..the journey of that first year..the getting on through it.
Thank you for the heads up on PAWS.
I think my info addicted little brain will study that little phenom..as you did.
