Doubting absolutely everything
I can even explain how much I am struggling. My resolve is in "dissolve" mode. It's so nice out, the town has it's fun day and fireworks tonight. I am literally having the worst time and if someone hands me a drink I am in deep deep trouble. I don't know what to do and I am doing everything to stay sober......
What's happened to weaken your resolve? . . . has something happened?
Worst case scenario you could stay in tonight, plan a few other activities and not have to worry about someone handing you a drink.
There's always other options EJ43, you don't have to put yourself in the firing line of alcohol!!

I remember coming as close as I ever have to quitting sobriety at about 4.5 months. From your join date, I could guess that's where you are. At that point, I was expecting too much from myself and from sobriety; true benefits didn't emerge for me until after six months. Is that what is going on, EJ?

Ugh! I don't know, but it's trouble. Skipping a party and then just heading to fireworks, it will be safe there. Tomorrow just having family day. This is the worst I have been....and yes, just over four
Months. So so bad. Crap!

It truly is difficult, I know. Either avoid the situation entirely or keep saying to yourself "I don't drink and I won't change my mind."
I have been repeating it like a mantra, over and over. Remember your AV LIES to you and will try to ruin your enjoyment.
Don't let it win.
Good luck.
