Grandma passed away

I recently found out my grandma passed away. This woman meant the world to me and my family. I cant put into words the blessing she was in our lives. God gained another angel today. Please keep myself and my family in your thoughts and prayers. I guess one positive is the fact I haven't even had an urge to drink. Im sure it will come, but I am stronger than any urge. Im pretty much still in shock. Also, pray the Navy lets my brother come home for the memorial service. He is currently stationed in California.

So sorry for your loss, losing my grandma (we called her gramcracker) was one of the most painful experiences of my life. The anniversary of her death was Tuesday actually. We're all here for you for as much support as you need. I will certainly keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Also, I was trying to get sober when I went through this, but I went home early from the post-funeral reception and got drunk. It didn't make anything better.

Thank you for all the kind responses. I just found out my brother has a flight back home on Saturday. That is definitely an answer to prayer.
