Start of day 11 today. Woke up this morning feeling really disappointed, the first thought in my head was that I had been drinking last night and the previous days of sobriety were all a waste. It was a huge relief to slowly realise that it was only a bad dream and I was indeed hangover free.

I guess the brain plays tricks on us, or maybe it was the monkey on my back, but would imagine it is part of the process of cleansing an addicted mind.

Anyway, heres to day 11, have a wonderful day folks.

Excellent! Hangover free days are precious, especially the mornings. The bad dreams will fade, as will the cravings. H.A.L .T has been my savior when the inevitable cravings do hit A quick bite, a retreat into meditation or a nap may be all you need to get over it. Keep your sobriety as #1 and though others may not get it, getting sober is hard work, make sure to reward yourself from time to time.

Yeah, I've had a couple of those drinking dreams too, it's a relief to wake up and realize it was only a dream. Congrats on 11 (now 12) days
