Day 4 in the bag

I really will stop giving daily updates once this first week has passed. I just feel very happy that I've finally gotten through the hell that was the past 2 weeks, trying to taper, failing at it over and over again, and feeling like a nervous wreck. Finally, I am feeling normal again and that makes me happier than any drinking episode ever did. That is the honest truth. I had a very active weekend and am sore as hell from it, but it's a good kinda sore. I'm down to one Librium/day now and will likely stop after Wednesday. I'm back on the Antabuse just to be on the safe side. Life feels good again, or at least a whole lot better.

Glad to hear it GetMeOut - it is a very good feeling to know that your body is cleaning itself and getting back to normal. Sounds like you have a good plan in place, keep it up!

You don't have to stop giving updates. That's what SR is for.

I can relate to this so much and I never believed it could be true. It just keeps getting better.

Glad you're here GetMeOut. :)

GetMeOut congratulations on having 4 days in the bag, that is wonderful! Post as often as you need or want ... you are helping yourself and others when you do! Keep it going, you can do this!

Just went to my first AA meeting in about 3 years. As Randy Jackson on American Idol would say, "I dunno, dawg. Wasn't good." It really wasn't. I'm not giving up and will try a couple others that go on around here (there really aren't but a handful in my area), but this particular one felt like sitting on death row. Seriously. :(

Well done on 6 days. Definitely try other AA meetings, as the group dynamic can vary from meeting to meeting. You may also want to try some NA meetings if there are any in your area.

Way to go!! You are coming back stronger then ever! Keep it up!
