2 Weeks and Going Strong
Hello All,
I am finishing up Day 14 and have absolutely no desire to ever return to drink. The posts here sure help, and I have been going to face to face meetings which works for me. I have a very bright outlook, I have gone this long and feel so good. To everyone just starting, it does get so much better. People and family are commenting how different I seem, that I am my "old' self, after only 2 weeks. I am committed to sobriety and realize that now I need to reevaluate my coping skills. I have so much going on in my life right now, (that would make many people want to escape the pain), and have made my sobriety the priority. The feeling of waking up sober, after a great nights' sleep is priceless. I am grateful for so many things in my life, for you people on SR, but especially my sobriety. Without it I am nothing.

Keep it up, I know how you feel, I am on 12 days sober today. Feel a lot better but I know that is is up to me to do the work, take it easy, be kind to myself and take it One Day at a Time. Congrats on your 14 days so far :-)
