I want a drink!!
Remember: if you have a drink, you'll just have to go through this all over again. The only way to the other side is to keep swimmin'. The cravings really DO diminish the further away from that last drink that you get.
But if you have one, it's like starting back at ground zero all over again. You don't want that.
Order yourself something you like, enjoy the weather, listen to the birds, play with your kids, kiss your husband ... it's all about creating your new normal. One day this will be the one that's familiar and comfortable, too.

You have to get used to living without Alcohol. Personally after 20 years of everyday drinking I accept that it will take some time to adjust.
Not worth it. My last detox was hell. Not doing it again.
Stay strong and don't give in!

Does your husband know your not drinking? . . . having a small bit of accountability is a good plan.
Cravings pass, your body wants what it has always had, it doesn't need it and you don't need it, but your body is adjusting to not having it.
Hang in there!!

You got this. We can't always get what we want. It is okay to tell your body no. You will get used to it, and it will be good. Just give it time. I have learned to love lemon water. I always order it now. Good job on posting here and not drinking.
So glad to hear you made it through dinner and resisted the craving, it's such an inspiration to me when I read about someone fighting through that urge and surviving it without picking up. You did all the right things by reaching out to your husband, your sponsor and the SR community
