Being Sober
Being Sober
I have seen profound changes in myself over the course of the journey to living as a sober woman. Finally, I am beginning to feel honestly and truly good enough. It has taken a lot of work to get here and I continue to invest in a sober life each day.
I am both blessed and cursed to be a high bottom drunk. My drinking career has been brief compared to many, but my motivation is strong. I grew up with an alcoholic mother and I know what the consequences to my continued reckless behaviour will be. I have a beautiful life ahead of me if I stay sober moment by moment. I can and will learn from the mistakes of others who have gone before me. Life is precious and I am learning little by little that I deserve the support and love of a sober community.
Thank you for being here. Keep coming back! You can change your life and achieve your goals, one day at a time.
Love,
Flying

Well done.
