How long will I feel like this???
It has been 2 months now that I have clean from alcohol, opiates, and benzo's and my anxiety is through the roof still. I don't know if it is paws or if it is because this is about my 5th time through detox and rehab. It does seem that each time it has gotten harder.
I was prescribed the pain meds and the benzo's and was not abusing them in my opinion but my husband feels that once I started drinking with them I was then abusing them. I know he is right but I am so tired of waking up several times during the night with my heart pounding, my arms burning and my back on fire as well. When will these feelings go away. I still have not returned to work because the anxiety is so bad. I feel I could just scream!!

Hi Suziee - welcome 
I think it depends on whether the anxiety was there before the drinking.
Did you consult a Dr about coming off the benzos as well?
I know a lot of folks have trouble with benzo withdrawal?
