153 Days Under My Belt
I meant to post this when I hit 150 days, but I was busy. In the past "busy" wold have meant a multitude of things (i.e., drunk, hungover, feeling worthless, anxious), none of which define "busy" today. I was busy with life.
Tomorrow will be 22 weeks of continuous sobriety. In the past, I would have not been able to make it that many days. I feel very good right now. Both physically and mentally. Physically, I don't think I have ever been in this good of shape. I have been trail running and mountain biking 5 - 6 times a week and I feel great. Mentally, I am much calmer and much much less anxious. I will say; however, that this journey is not all sunshine and rainbows, but I do know that whatever life throws at me, I can persevere and I can make it WITHOUT alcohol. I am basically learning how to deal with life. Or, re-learning how to get through it without any sort of crutch. Sometimes its a breeze and sometimes it is hard as hell. In the end though, I make it.

awesome post and congratulations.
I'm a few days ahead of ya and feeling similarly. I'm still working on the getting in shape bit.... it's been tough getting back into a good rythm this time for some reason. My last round of sobriety (my trial round I suppose) I was in some of the best condition of my life. Trail running was a key ingredient to that for me as well. I'm getting there!
Definitely not all sunshine and rainbows but absolutely without question better than life soaked in booze.
keep up the great work and thanks for the inspiration!
