I hope you keep the lines of communication open, whatever is going on with you . Although i haven't spoken with you specifically i appreciate you as one of my SR family and always like your thoughtful posts .

Carl...I'm so sorry for you that this happened..thankyou for your honesty. You just sent the most powerful message to those of us who have gained a little sober time in how strong our addictions are, and how we must forever remain a step ahead of the game.

Carl,
Hang in there. It gets easier. Do whatever you need to do to get sober again.
I was sober for 16 years before relapsing. I remember the shame and guilt and fear of early sobriety after years of feeling solidly sober.
I've appreciated your posts.

Carl, it takes hell lots of guts to be so honest.
It also reminds all of us to be always on the guard.

Carl your honestly is poignant.
You have helped so many of us here and give out great advice . I admire your courage and the fact you came here to SR . We are all human and it shows us that even someone as committed and wonderful as you are is only one drink away .
