Day 9 almost done, soon I will wake up to day 10 which I can hardly believe im doing but I feel like im gaining good ground, anyways my mood swings are ALL OVER the place!! I go from happy, to sad to plain SUPER angry in the space of an hour. I am usually somewhat calm and stable, is this normal? I really do feel like I am losing control over my emotions and that is sooooooo not me!

Hang in there chilledice. Yes, you are normal. It happens to the best of us. Just keep focused and move forward. This will lessen with time. Focus on the positives for now.

Yep unfortunatly normal part of having real emotions coming back all mixed up in the bunch. Better than numbing it out I say!

In response to chronic alcohol consumption the brain over-produces anxiety-inducing chemicals. (You're not SUPPOSED to be happy and sedate all the time!)
You've stopped ingesting alcohol, but your brain is still over-producing those chemicals. You'll gradually feel 'more normal' over the next 90 days or so (but all our brains are different, so your time could be more or less.)

Hang tight, and find stuff to do. Activity takes the mind off things.

As said above completely normal. You're no longer numbing your feelings and coming back to life it gets easier

It's pretty normal, part of the "fun" of getting sober! Hang in there though, buddy- it gets better.
