Canadians (Ontario) Walk in clinic question
Does anyone know if a walk in clinic will prescribe something for withdrawal? (valium, xanax, etc.)
My Dr is only open until noon today and I don't know if I will be able to book an appointment until next week now.
If you know anything, even if you're not from Canada, please let me know. Can't seem to find the answer online.
TY

I'm in SW Ontario and the clinics here will not. However, I was told if you go to an ER they will?
I was able to get in to see my Dr. luckily to get some stuff before I went to detox for 7 days.
good luck!

tell them it's an emergency. Most Dr's leave spots open for emergency appts.
I'm a Medical Office Assistant
say you are going to to detox or whatever you have to say and that you HAVE to get in today for help.

I live in Alberta, and about a year ago I went to the ER because I was afraid of the DTs. After talking with them, they told me I didn't drink nearly enough to experience DTs, but the doctor was very happy to write me a prescription for some Ativan to take the edge off.
