Weekender 5/29-6/1 - Dealing with summer
Grace, how old are your kids? I think you may have said but my brain shut down earlier today. I completely empathize. Taxi service is down for the night. My kids are almost six and eight.
Some kids just peddled by, admiring the "color burst". I just hope we don't get free lancers.

Mandalay, I am from Richmond! I miss it so much. Love that place!
Weekend's over. Not sure anyone will read this. (tap tap tap) Is this thing on?
Have a great week, all,
Oh I just cannot let go of the Whee!!kEnd thread either GotGrace.
YaY Mandalay!! Soon, with some good effort, your weekends will rack up as well for you. It it feels like a million dollars.
Ruby, I just have to say that I love the fence art as well. Cannot wait to get some of that paint. Yes, I think Olive needs to do a little paint art to match her flags.
Thanks everyone for a great weekend. Look forward to hearing all about next weekend's plans...but first, the week. Go get 'em!!

I'll try to get a picture of the painting. It's really huge, almost five feet on each side, but our condo has ten-foot ceilings so it should look awesome when it's hung. It's an abstract of a bicycle.
Grace--I'm not a native (I'm originally from New Jersey) but we moved to the area in 2000 and lived in Chesterfield County for a while, then moved to Church Hill three years ago. We love it. Richmond is very rapidly becoming a cool city in which to live.
Thank you all for the good wishes! It was so nice to be productive and enjoy the days rather than be holed up in my room drunk and passing in and out of consciousness. I just finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Mandalay - we spent a night in Richmond on our way home from NC. Forgot the name of the hotel but it was right at the park that leads to the state house. Took a nice walk through the park with the dog. Then we went to tobacco factory for dinner. Thought Richmond was pretty cool.
